Welcome back to Term 3.
Whilst I am hopeful of a more normal term it is important to remind all parents, students and staff of the need to continue to practise good personal hygiene, and for parents to maintain social distancing when collecting and dropping off their children.
Parents will not be permitted into the classrooms unless an appointment has been made with the teacher in advance.
Parents are reminded that students are not to play in the playgrounds, Natureplay or on the Megatoy before or after school.
Cancelled/Rescheduled Events for Term 3
Unfortunately, Assemblies remain cancelled until further notice.
I am pleased to advise that we will still proceed with Book Week. Students will be encouraged to attend school in a costume from their favourite book however we will not be having an assembly for students to display their costumes. Pop this date in your diaries, Wednesday 19 August Week 5.
The faction carnival, that traditionally is held towards the end of Term 3, has been rescheduled until the second week of Term 4.
Clubs
I am very pleased that the school will begin the slow re-introduction of some of its clubs this term. We are starting with breakfast club this week. We hope to have Jump Jam starting week 2.
Parking
When collecting students at the end of the day we would urge all parents
- not to park on the road verges
- not to use the childcare centre parking
- not to stop on the corner
- adhere to all council parking rules and the road rules
This will ensure that the students get home safely.

Room 18
Welcome back to Term 3!
Room 18 have already been very busy forming and working in their Cooperative Learning groups. Cooperative Learning refers to small groups of students working together to achieve a common goal. Students work together to learn and are responsible for their teammates' learning as well as their own. Students were able to contribute to their group Coat of Arms design by adding something special about themselves. They also completed an activity to find their group name. These groups will be working together throughout the term using Instructional Strategies in a fun, safe and inclusive classroom environment.
We looked at ways to be a good team member.
We worked collaboratively on our group Coat of Arms.

A letter from the Prime Minister!
One of our thoughtful students Arsalan has written a letter to the Prime Minister with his thoughts and ideas on how to help with COVID19.
Arsalan has received a response from the Prime Minister, Scott Morrison, thanking him for his contribution and commending Arsalan for showing concern for his family, friends and the country. Mr Morrision is expecting big things from Arsalan in the future!
The Day the Crayons Quit
On 1 July 2020 we celebrated the donation of $3700 worth of books from Dymocks Ellenbrook and Dymocks Children’s Charities.
To celebrate we came dressed in our favourite colour and investigated the book - The Day the Crayons Quit. The Dymocks delivery van visited each classroom and dropped off the story. Each class completed activities relating to the book. The day was a BLAST!!!
Three Cheers to Dymocks hip hooray hip hooray hip hooray!!
