Congratulations to all of the staff, students and parents for an amazing Faction Carnival. It was such a delight having parents on site cheering loudly and offering encouragement to the students. The students looked sensational in their various faction’s colours, hair sprayed and excitement for the day evident from the moment they turned up at school. The student behaviour and sportsmanship on the carnival day was fantastic. Thank you to our amazing P&C for the wonderful food offerings on the day. Thank you also goes to all the wonderful staff, particularly Mr Williams and Mrs Blanchard, for training the students in the various disciplines and team games and ensuring the day went smoothly.
Our attention now turns to the Interschool Carnival. I encourage the students to do their best and show great sportsmanship and resilience if they don’t win. We have been very fortunate to see great sportsmanship at the recent Olympics and Paralympics and I am sure the students will draw on these examples to inspire their performance and behaviour on the day.
As the weather begins to warm it is timely to remind everyone of the importance of having a hat (with your name in it) and a water bottle. When students do not have hats they unfortunately will not be permitted to play in the sun.
I would like to wish all of our families and students a wonderful term 3 holiday. Please stay safe and please, students, stay away from the school. Let’s hope that COVID remains out of WA so that when we return from our break we can have a great term 4 culminating in the graduation of this year’s year 6 students, ARBOR Day, and our Book Awards assembly.

EC3
Digraphs, Digraphs, Digraphs
In EC3 this term we have been learning all about digraphs! A digraph is two letters that work together to make one single sound. We decided to make our very own digraph word wall to explore the SH/CH/TH and OO digraphs further.
Numeracy in Room 3
In Room 3, we have been learning about everything subtraction! We have been practising our subtraction skills with the Alien Subtraction Smash activity. We use the tens frame, add playdough balls, and smash them to find the answer to the problem. Also, we created our own Cookie Monster piece. Room 3 have enjoyed learning about subtraction through hands on experiences.

ARBOR Values
This term Osborne Graphics has added some wonderful visuals of our ARBOR Values to the school. The additions included new door signs, a big ARBOR Values mural to our undercover area, a new sensory path in Early Childhood and signs for our gates. We are very pleased with the outcome and welcome you all to take a walk around and have a look.

*We are now full, however you may wish to add your child on a waiting list.*

What Makes You Happy?
Disco is back for 2021!
We were devastated not to be able to provide a disco for the students last year, therefore we are excited to announce there is one coming this November.
Can you help or do you have connections??
We're in need of temporary fencing, lighting, bright decorations and a DJ??
Donations
We will be once again cooking up a storm at the BBQ and something NEW this year - selling snack packets of chips and gummy lollies to the kids via the canteen during the disco.
This is where we need donations... we are asking our wonderful families for cool drink varieties, bottled water, boxes of multi flavour snack chips and bags/boxes of pre-packaged lollies.
If you have some connections or would like to know the varieties of drink, chips and lollies we intend on using and would like to offer a donation, please contact our Facebook page or email agpsp-cfundraising@outlook.com.au and we will be in touch.
Feedback from the Kids
Book Club
Term 4 will see issue 7 and our last issue of Book Club for 2021.
As there are lengthy delays with deliveries from the eastern states, catalogues and book orders are not arriving like we once knew. This will be your last chance if you are looking for a few extra special gifts for birthdays, Christmas or other celebrations.
Be sure to select the GIFT option and place your order by the due date. Your GIFT order will not go to your child’s class but left at the front office for you to collect. Eliminating spoiling that surprise.
If you have any questions, please contact Rhiannon at agpsbookclub@outlook.com.au

School Banking
Conducted at the canteen each Tuesday morning between 8.30am and 9am by Michelle our School Banking Coordinator.
School Banking is a fun, interactive and engaging way to help teach your child about saving. School Banking is also a notable fundraiser for our school, as we receive a Regular Savers contribution and an Annual contribution based on the number of students involved in the program.
Getting involved in School Banking is easy!
To start saving all you need is a Commonwealth Bank Youthsaver account. Children can save any amount. The money is deposited into their Youthsaver account, and they can track their progress via the CommBank Youth app.
Each time your child makes a deposit they will receive a silver token. Once they have collected 10 tokens they can redeem them for a small reward.
