Principal's Perspective
Swimming
We have started swimming lessons for students in Pre-Primary to year 4. Fortunately, we have had sunny weather which has made the experience more enjoyable. Please ensure that any lost items are followed up. Student behaviour so far has been very good and I hope this continues for the remainder of the lessons.
NAPLAN
I wanted to congratulate all of our year 3 and 5 students for completing NAPLAN last week. It was a challenging two weeks, however everyone showed great resilience. I would like to thank the teachers, Ms Irvine and Mrs Newman for helping ensure the NAPLAN testing was as painless as possible.
Camp
What a wonderful week it was at year 6 camp. The students showed great behaviour and participated without complaint in all activities, even when it was raining and cold. I hope all the students that went to camp have memories that they will cherish. Thank you to the year 6 teachers, Mrs Quinn and Mrs McCabe for organising and attending camp and supporting these students.
Leavers Shirts
You will have noticed that the year 6 students have now received their leavers shirt. It is great seeing these students proudly wearing their new shirts.
The final year of primary school is a significant event for all children and it is great that we are able to ensure that they have these leavers shirts and events such as camp to make the final year so special.
Names On Clothing
Now we are entering the colder months it is timely to remind all families to ensure that all student jumpers have names recorded on them. This will increase the chance of them being returned should they be lost or misplaced around the school.
