P&C
The P&C have been working hard this year. For now, the school has asked us to start raising funds to help upgrade the junior play area. As you have all seen the great changes happen to the Kindy/Pre-Primary playground, we are looking to continue this upgrade throughout the school.
So please get behind all the fundraising events the P&C hold throughout the year.
The P&C is run by volunteers (parents and community members), if you have a spare hour or two a term then come along to one of our meetings and get involved. The next meeting is on Wednesday 12 June at 6.30pm.
Fundraising
Federal Election
Thank you to all our wonderful P&C members and volunteers who came down to help us out with the Election Day BBQ and cake stall, your efforts at cooking and serving were greatly appreciated. Also, to those families who donated baked goods as well as drinks and other essentials to help us along the way, all your efforts helped us to raise over $2000.

We were also very fortunate to have Crust, Ellenbrook Central, Ellenbrook Community Collective and Kennards Hire donate quite substantial items towards the event, and we are very grateful for their ongoing support.

Coming Up After Swimming Lessons
A Silver Coin Challenge will run in weeks 8 and 9. The challenge is for all students to collect up as many silver denomination coins to help fill a 2lt bottle in their class during the two weeks. Prizes will be awarded to the first class to fill their bottle and the class with the highest amount raised at the end of the challenge.
SAVE THE DATE JUNE 28… our first Disco for the year is on its way. The P&C will also be running a soup sundowner and sausage sizzle. We will be looking for lots of volunteers to help us out on the night at both the disco and on the BBQ.
Please keep an eye out for flyers in school bags and posted around the school.

School Banking
Many thanks to Jenna who has recently volunteered to help Michelle with the school banking.
Enhance the School Banking experience with the CommBank Youth app.
The CommBank Youth app is a fun, secure way for your child to learn digital money skills. They can:
- Check their Youthsaver account balance.
- View their School Banking deposits in their transaction history.
- Track how many Dollarmites tokens they’ve earned.
- Set savings goals and track progress.
- Create a list of chores/jobs they can do to earn pocket money.
Scholastic Book Club
THANK YOU!
Did you know that your orders from Book Club so far this year have raised over $600 in rewards for the school?
Any rewards earned for the school go towards purchasing of new resources for the library so our kids can continue to enjoy new books all year round.
Lots of AGPS parents are keen on being part of the school community but may not always have spare time to lend a hand. By purchasing books through Book Club you can help the school in another way and your kids will benefit directly from it.
Issue 3 Book Club orders should be arriving shortly for distribution and Issue 4 of Book Club won't be far behind, so get behind our school and place an order in the next issue.
Happy Reading

Canteen
Welcome to our school canteen news.
We are all about healthy choices at our school canteen and we are open every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8.15am - 2.15pm.
School Swimming Lessons
All students can still order from the regular lunch menu, and lunches will go out to each class at their specific lunch time slots.
We are currently looking for a volunteer on Tuesday, Thursday and particularly Friday of the swimming weeks to help in the canteen for an hour (12.45-1.45pm). It would be very much appreciated. Please come and see Jenni at the canteen if you can help us out.
Have you looked at placing your child’s order through Flexischool? Why not give it a try, you can log on via the internet or download the app to your phone.
