P&C

Meeting.jpg

Fresh ideas and skills always welcome!

Are you new to school and the area?  Joining the P&C is a great way to meet other parents.  Becoming a member is as simple as filling out a Membership Form and paying $1.00, come to meetings and get involved.

The vital roles of Vice President and Fundraising Coordinator are still vacant and do require filling. If you would like to put your hand up for either position, please contact Hayley at agpsp-cpresident@outlook.com.au or come to our next meeting. We would like to note, that if you join the P&C, we may ask if you would like to take up a position, however you will not be pressured into taking on these roles.

Vice President

  • Acts as a ‘understudy’ to the President or mentors new President
  • Use the role as an opportunity to develop their leadership skills and P&C knowledge
  • Chairs P&C meetings in President’s absence
  • Can be signatory on accounts.
  • Can be a representative on sub-committees.
  • Additional role – Vice president is the WACSSO Liaison, acting as a link between the P&C and WACSSO

Fundraising Coordinator

  • Coordinates all fundraising activities
  • Delegates tasks to volunteers
  • Liaises & Oversees what volunteers are doing
  • Ensures delegated tasks are completed
  • Presents written reports to the P&C outlining activities and results
  • Chairs Fundraising Committee (if there is one)

We are also looking for more members to join our sub committees. Choose as many as you would like to be a part of.

  • Grounds and Amenity Committee
  • Canteen Committee
  • Fundraising Committee
  • Communication Committee

Sub committees are formed by P&C members, they are less formal than the general P&C meeting and it is where topics can be discussed in full detail. Suggestions of solutions or motions are then taken to the general P&C meeting. And they are the first point of call when volunteers are required.

Giving Back to the School

The P&C had the pleasure of funding these recent projects for our school.

A few weeks ago, external speakers were installed to the undercover area. This will allow for those events where parent seating may extend beyond the undercover area to hear all the announcements.
