Well another year is nearly over! I can’t believe we are at the end of week 9. It certainly has flown by!

This week our year 5 and 6 students have been enjoying swimming lessons at Mullaloo Beach, which given the very hot weather has been a hit and very much enjoyed by the students and staff.

Staff are busy preparing the many final events of the year- starting this week with the Kindergarten assembly followed next week by Graduation, ARBOR Day and the Presentation assembly.

I hope all students continue to make good behaviour choices so that they can participate in every event.

Student Semester 2 reports will be sent out soon. I am sure parents will be eager to see how their children have performed over the year.

I would like to thank the P&C for another fantastic year supporting the school with fundraising, book club, school banking and a range of events such as Mother’s day stall, Father’s day stall and the recent disco. The school is fortunate to have such a dedicated group of parents.

As this is the last newsletter of the year I would like to wish all of you a Merry and safe Christmas and New Year. Enjoy your holidays and I look forward to seeing you all in 2022.

Kindergarten 2022

I would urge any parents with Kindergarten aged students in 2022 to enrol now as there are a few spots remaining. We will commence a “waiting list” as soon as we reach 80 enrolments.

2022 Class Placement

Students will receive information early next week outlining their classroom for 2022. We provide this information so that children have one less thing to worry about over the Christmas break.

Staff Movements

At this time of the year we farewell some staff who will not be returning in 2022.

Congratulations to Mr Hunt who has secured a permanent position at Aveley North Primary School. We also farewell and congratulate Mrs Walker (Pearsall Primary), Ms Bulthuis and Miss Cranfield (Anne Hamersley PS) and Miss Alver (Morley PS) who have secured roles for 2022 and we look forward to their return in 2023.

We also farewell and thank Mrs Blanchard who has decided to retire after over 30 years of dedication to the education of children in Western Australia. Mrs Blanchard has been a loyal and respected member of the Arbor Grove community for over 10 years and we wish her every happiness in retirement.

Finally, I would like to thank and farewell Miss Stein, Miss Nguyen, Mrs Jones, Mr Brown, Mrs Stewart and Mrs Tabakovic. Thank you for your hard work and we wish each of you well for your careers.

In 2022 we will be welcoming several new staff, Mr Kieren Sparks, Ms Karyn Quinn, Mrs Danielle Horvath and Mrs Joanne Diaz. We also welcome back Ms Lamason.
